DVD freezes and skips

Hello All,

This is one of my first posts. I have been reading several posts from other users so hopefully I have used the correct tools to help me diagnose my problem.

As the title says, I am having problems getting my DVD Player to play DVDs that I create from my PC. I am using DVD+R media from Verbatim and my DVD Burner is Liteon LH20-A1A. I have used several programs in an attempt to see if the results vary but the result is the same - DVDs that freeze, slow down and are choppy on my Onkyo DV-SP302 player.

I have tested the DVD in the Liteon Burner and the DVD plays fine. The software that I am using is DVD-Flick. I have tried other software too such as PowerDirector and WinAVI. Each has freezes. Once the freezing starts, the video freezes and plays every few seconds. The video starts freezing at about the same point which is about 10 - 15 minutes into the DVD.

I was looking at the logfile that DVD-Flick creates and I did notice this statement. Would it help if I lowered the bitrate? DVD-Flick allows me to do that. Any other ideas? I am posting the info from media info at the end of this post. Wondering if I should replace the drive.
