that the DVD Forum has met once again and they have made some 20 approvals.
Among those are the formal acceptance of the DVD-R at 12x and 16x…

That logo is pathetic. Evidently the DVD Forum members haven’t noticed that since the DVD logo tends to be put horizontally on the SPINES of DVD cases, the “HD” will have to go ABOVE or BELOW the current logo or else it SIMPLY WONT FIT (unless turned sideways)!


Still no DVD-R DL…?


Atlease they have DVD in the name/logo. I think consumers will be more prone to migrate to something that sounds somewhat related to what they have allready, than buy a “whole new” blueray system. I don’t really care tho, blueray has more space and thus definitely seems better, but the other pro’s and con’s remain to be seen. No DL-R, damn guys, get your shit together.
