You have absolutely no rights to it. Your friend doesn’t even have “the right” to install it on another pc that he owns.
Actually, your friend doesn’t even own it. He owns one license and has the right to install and use it on one, and only one pc that he owns…period.
I have no idea why you had to perform a system restore. Perhaps the files you installed were corrupted, etc., etc.
