Can anyone please tell me why DVD Fab alters the file structure of DVDs when copying > Full Disc > DVD 9 > Target Hard Disk i.e. when simply wishing to copy the entire contents of a DVD to the Hard Disk (including non-DVD/data files-if the DVD has such files on it to begin with).
For example (I use XP SP3) if I load a DVD in my DVD drive and then I go to > Start > My Computer > CD Drive > right click on CD Drive > Open > and then view all of the files it may show;
Before copying in DVD Fab
Video_TS 12 KB BUP File
Video_TS 12 KB IFO File
Video_TS 8,422 KB VOB File
However after copying in DVD Fab it may show;
(After processing in DVD Fab)
Video_TS 8 KB BUP File
Video_TS 8 KB IFO File
Video_TS 978,732 KB Vob File
(and so on with a different file structure and different sub- file sizes than the original). I am fully aware that splitting a movie, de-selecting certain features, just selecting the main movie etc will alter the sub-file size and structure but why if it's a FULL DISC DVD9 copy to the Hard Drive? Please note that the total Before and after file sizes are the same i.e. before and after processing in DVD Fab. eg. total disc size might be (6,222,221,945 bytes before AND after processing).
The only thing I'm questioning is the sub-file structure re-arranging and the sub-file size differences that occurs in DVD Fab.
A friend of mine has informed me that they do not use DVD Fab for this very purpose (altered file structure and sub-file sizes). My friend stated that they use DVD Decrypter as this program does not alter the file structure and the sub-file sizes.
Does anyone know why this occurs? Please provide me with your feedback.
