Asus Mainboard-DVDs should be bootable, did that work?

You can also try a different SATA-port for the drive, this mainboard have SATA2 and SATA3-ports

If not, teh drive is maybe defect or don´t like the mainboard

Not only that, the port used must be switched to IDE mode using the BIOS/UEFI!

Not sure.

I use mainboard-generations from 760G to B250 and all work in AHCI-Mode with Hotplugin with drives from LG, LiteOn, Pioneer, Pioneer-QSI and Samsung

Optical drives doesn’t require special drives, these drivers come with the OS!
Important is here the name of the mainboard to give further advice. I’ll have a look into the manual.

update
As suspected, it comes with 2 SATA controllers:
" Intel® H81 chipset :
2 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), yellow,
2 x SATA 3Gb/s port(s), dark brown,
Supports Intel® Rapid Start Technology, Intel® Smart Connect Technology *1"

Which is the drive connected to?
