Hello out there. I have a Sony Vaio (System Model VGN-AR320E) I purchased last year and I’m having problems trying to write to a DVD. The brand I am using is TDK DVD+R 1-16x 4.7 GB.

It will burn music CDs, but even that get finicky sometimes (maybe bad discs?). In fact, last semester it wouldn’t read a CD for a class I was taking.

What program are you using to write to the disk? What burn speed are you using? Is this just data you are trying to burn or a video of some kind? Will it play a DVD without problem?

Laptop burners generally suck. Use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media only with them, or buy an external 5.25" burner.
