DVD Decrypter. Huh?!?!

Trying to backup my store bought “The Spy Who Loved Me”. Got the below msg and hit CANCEL a few times, the “Region” screen came up and I clicked OK. Started to rip the files and then got this:

[i]I/O Error!

Device:[1:0:0]_NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG 2.16 (E:) (ATA)

ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

CDB: 28 00 00 3A B6 4F 00 00 01 00

And then asks to ABORT, RETRY or IGNORE

What’s going on here? Been backing up DVD’s for awhile and this is the first time I got this.

Try another disc in Decrypter to confirm your drive isn’t the source of the problem. If it’s not the drive, the disc is damaged in some way, dirty, or has a mastering defect. If the file that Decrypter is trying to transfer is a .BUP (backup .IFO file) then you can get away with skipping the file. Hopefully it will be able to read the rest of the disc(remember to create an new .BUP file to replace the one that was skipped: copy the .IFO file with the same name to a .BUP) Obviously if it’s an IFO file that’s giving problems then you may be able to rescue it with the .BUP file.
