The fist link will give you the latest firmware b7t9 version for the 1620. the second link has all firmware for different brands of players ie sony tdk etc...
I already downloaded the b7t9 firmware from the benQ site. Should I get the "region free" cvt file as well from the first link you posted? Also when flashing firmware should I do that in safe mode and are there other precautions?
When doing dvd's use decrypter to "unblock" your copy protections and dvd shrink to shrink the movie to allow to fit onto a 4.5 gig disk and finally a burning softwarew to burn you dvd onto a dvd disk.
Tune DVD Decrypter - First, it should be version 184.108.40.206. or newer Go to "Tools", "Settings", set everything to "Default". Then in the "General" tab change, "Removal Method" from "Normal" to "Aggressive", in "File Mode", "tick" Remove IFO/BUP PUO's." For ripping in the "ISO, Read Mode", "tick" "Remove IFO/BUP PUO's" there also. in the "CSS" tab, under "CSS Cracking Method", choose "Brute Force ~> I/O Key Exchange" and "On Failure" choose "Yes". . IMPORTANT: In the "I / O" tab, in the bottom right, "tick" the box which says, "Ignore read errors". This is also an excellent setting for dealing with lightly scratched discs which may cause ripping problems.
This helps out alot of newer movies for decrypter to work ok.
Thanks for not making me have to search for this.
lets see 4382-4300=82 mb not 400 mb so I think were on the same page as to where to burn end media....
I'm guessing losing 82 meg isnt going to result is much quality loss. I'll have to experiment with this.
Anyways thanks for the replies guys. I pasted some of this in a word doc for future reference. You have been more than helpful.
