DVD Compression error?

vbimport

#1

I’am trying to compress a 1.5 .VOB file to a 700mb DivX.
I’am using “Auto Gordian Knot” and when i try to compress the file
i get this error: " video compression error: the source image format
is not acceptable. (error cod -2) ", after 15 minutes.
How can i fix this, or should i use some different software?
Thank in advance!

VOB files are only supposed to be 1 GB max… how did you get one 1.5 GB??

Sounds like the software you’re using is working properly, even to the point of giving you an error at the proper point…

The only way to get the compression done will be to either get your hands on the original VOB files, or , try an authoring program to correct the size problem with the VOB file you have.

Vobmerge?..Anyhow, maybe try Xvid codec instead…Or try other app/tools…Avidemux for one, or see here for others…

Some reading/info regarding the error here…Maybe illegal size dimensions…
