I've searched countless hours for an answer to this question, and I can't find anything, so I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to give me some kind of idea, or a program, that might help me out. Thanks in advance.
What I'm looking for is this; I want to burn a website that I am making onto a DVD disc. The website will have a password on it before you can enter and view it.
I would really like to place a password on the entire cd, however, I haven't been able to find a program that lets me put a password on it, but after entering it, be able to run the entire website off the disc (instead of having to copy it to my computer to view everything).
Whenever I use a password in a program such as Power2Go - it won't let me run the website off the disc.
However I want this cd to be protected, as if it gets lost - I don't want anyone to be able to view the files. There will be entirely too many to copy back to PC everytime I wish to view something within the website.
I hope this makes sense, does anyone have any ideas that could help me out?
It would be really fantastic, if I were able to hide the contents in a folder (with multiple folders inside) and just have the main website file on the top directory. So if anyone does find the disc, and try to use it - all they will see is the index.html file that needs a password in order to access it.
I guess I have to think about this more, as I just realised anyone accessing the cd, only has to open the html file in a text editor, and view the password.
Anyway, this is my problem. Any help or any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance!
