DVD burner

Hi MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!

I have a AMD ATHLON XP 1800+ PC with WindowsXP SERVICE PACK 2,
128 MB SD RAM, 5400RPM (Ultra ATA/100, 5,400 RPM, 2MB - MPN: ST340810A),HDD is Seagate ST340810A 40GB Hard Drive.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHETHER I CAN INSTALL AN EXTERNAL DVD WRITER TO THIS CONFIGURATION. IS IT POSSIBLE WITHOUT

ANY UPGRADES? IF SO, WHAT ARE THE UPGRADES NECESSARY?

THANK YOU!

Didn’t you have a simular question regarding a 250GB SeaGate Hard Drive? As for USB burner will work fine, just plug and play. I would recommend more RAM though for your system for burning. See below:

Adding Seagate Free Agent Desktop 250 gb to my system

Hello all!

My System config is AMD Athlon XP 1800+, 128 MB RAM, HDD 40 GB.

HDD is Seagate ST340810A 40GB Hard Drive (Ultra ATA/100, 5,400 RPM, 2MB - MPN: ST340810A).

Please let me know whether I can install Seagate Free Agent Desktop 250 gb to my current system configuration without doing any system upgradation. Please also let me know with the installation of Seagate Free Agent Desktop 250 gb, the system will work without any problems.

Thank you
