y0!

I have a problem with my NEC DVD RW ND 3500AG.
Im only get max write speed at 2.3x on Verbatim 8x (MCC 02RG20) disc’s.
Firmware : 2.28 Q V2 MR Standard.
OS: win2000 sp4

Is this because of win2000? Cuz my mate have same burner, same firmware, same media and winXP. And he can burn 12x.

Yo-

Welcome to the forums-

You are using good media - so it sounds like your DMA is not turned on-

Go to Control Panels Device Manager and see if DMA is activated on the IDE chanel that your drive is on and for your drive-Also check your bios to see if DMA is turned on for your drive-
