When I play a DVD using InterVideo WinDVD the volume level fluctuates. This only happens when playing a DVD, the volume is consistent when playing a CD.
This leads me to believe the problem is with the InterVideo WinDVD player.
I have looked for driver updates, but none available. I tried to use both Real Player, and Window Media Player. When I try to use these two players, I get a pop-up warning that says:
(DVD is not enabled for this player. Click (ok) to use InterVideo WinDVD player for playback.)
I tried to make the fore mentioned players as the default players, but I don't seem to be able to do that. It's like InterVideo is somehow blocking a change.
InterVideo came with my laptop so I don't want to uninstall it (it does not appear they offer a free version) but I would like to disable it and try another player to see if that eliminates my audio issues. The DVD's play just fine on other equipment.
