What’s the purpose of these Audio only recordable discs? Why not just use Data discs to burn audio CDs? Audio-only seem pretty pointless. And geezus, another disc format…

are dvd audio discs larger than 4.7 gig? ive never used one so i’m not sure

Sounds like DVD…without the picture…and the point is? I guess it depends on compatibility and whether we’ll start seeing DVD-A as standard on hi-fi systems. It seems to me with the on going convergence of technology that there is a bit of a lack of direction. Perhaps all the companies concerned should work one out before bringing out loads of different formats that don’t really mean anything or have much use, and are arguably doing anything but converge AV and computer technologies.
