DUP-DVD backup

Hi it looks really a dumb question, but I have to ask as I could not backup DVD properly.

I have downloaded DUP-DVD - it looks really promising to beginers like me - just one click from getting backup DVD to VCD or SVCD.

Somehow, i could not get the second disk, I have tried quite several things but I just managed getting the first backup CD.

What have I done wrong?

you can try dvdx1.8…does the same…a bit more options…but with the basic settings you already can get results

you only need a second disk when you decode/encode the movie in high quality…or if the movie is very long.

Thank you for your help but I still beleive that DUP-DVD is better choice for me. Just one click and it does it all. you don’t have to consider any jargon and choose the best qutality and there you are.

It looks a lot better than dvdx 1.8a and easy but still I need to choose some certain files which I do not know what to do.

If I have time to have a go later, even I will try quite expert things. Thank you for your help.

Hi there, I’ve tried using this program and have had some strange problems.

Firstly on one DVD I could only find two files to rip…3mins max, but on the good side it did rip and encode them very fast. The results were very impressive.

On the second DVD, I found loads of files but could only access one of them. :frowning:

If anyone knows what I’m doing wrong, can you please explain.

Hey guys,

sorry to burge in like this, but I’ve checked some of the tools you mention and some seem really cool.
Still, my need is quite specific, so I’d appreciate some help, if possible :

  • I need a tool that rips a dvd to a DivX AVI with the screen size of 320x240 (PocketPC size)

Which of these tools allows me to do this best?

i think Dup-DVD from dup-dvd.com is VERY good but it will only copy 1/4 of the dvd bc of its trial version (btw it not crackable, so dont think ur goin to get the full version) but after some reasearch it looks like DvdX 2 is the best and free!
