Today i had the pleasure of playing a little with a Dual Opteron machine.

It has a HDAMB motherboard (yeah , kinda old  The HDAMC is already out).
I installed Windows XP-Pro + Service Pack 1 on it.

Here are some screenshots :

I haven’t been able to run applications yet , hopefully i get to test 3dMark on it later this week. Should run pretty smooth on a nVidia Quadro card

3d Mark 2003 build 330 results :

640x480 with no extra features : 1450 3DMarks

1280x1024 with everything on (FSAA, Filtering , etc) : 707 3DMarks

Kinda dissapointing. I’ll try PCMark and SiSosft Sandra this afternoon.

What VGA card did you use?

Seems to me that the CPU performance in PCMARK2002 is quite poor. I guess PCMARK doesn’t know anything about Opteron yet, and thud can’t test its full potential… I know for sure that this system should outperform my single CPU system (Athlon 2700+ for the time being)…

An original nVidia Quadro 4 , Dual DVI with the latest detonator drivers.

Yeah i know , i always get quite dissapointing results in 3dMark/PcMark tools , dunno why :). It’s tested with build 330 though.
