Hi, I need some help.
I tried to shrink a DVD9 movie into DVD5. The original DVD9 has 2 audio tracks (AC3 2.0 & DTS 5.1).
I ripped the disc into an ISO with DVDFab to remove all the protections, and opened the ISO with DVDShrink.
Basically I selected everything on the disk, and changed the audio stream to “ALL TYPES” in the Stream Selection option.
Problem is, the copy always plays in AC3 Stereo, no matter what I do. The DTS 5.1 stream data is on the disk , but somehow it refuses to play. It will always play in AC3 Stereo.
Reading on the net, some people suggested to tick “LOGICAL REMAPPING OF ENABLED STREAM”.
I tried this, but it still plays in AC3 even after I selected DTS 5.1 manually.
Can anyone tell me what I did wrong ?
Could it be caused by DVDFab failing to remove the disk protection ?
PS: The disc is played in DVD player with receiver (DD, DTS, PrologicII, etc).
I assume you are using the free version of DVDFab, which is not the problem. With the paid version you can make any audio stream the default play one. I think Shrink will do this too in re-author mode using the Set Default Streams option (left click on the Title after adding it to the left window).
