Hi, Friends!

i’ve the following drives installeds on my PC:

Plextor PX-755A
Plextor PX-810SA
Samsung SH-S203B

Can you, please, let me know if all they are able to perform CD-DVD Speed tests?

Thank you for your help

The Samsung is said by some to be OK, although you may have to mess with the registry (more details on the can be found in our Samsung forum).

Edit: See post #2 in our Mini-FAQ for Samsung Writers

As for the 755A (not the 810SA, as it’s a rebadged drive), maybe our Plextor owners can add info

@ Learning More,

Your “Plextor” PX-810(SA) is actually a re- badge Pioneer DVR-212 DVD Burner ->

http://club.cdfreaks.com/1841257-post1.html

The last “Plextor” labeled DVD Drive actually manufactured by Plextor is the Model Number PX-760. All “Plextor” labeled DVD Drives after Model Number PX-760 are not actually manufactured by Plextor.

Suggest the next time you consider purchasing a “Plextor” labeled DVD Burner to visit the CD Freaks Plextor DVD Forum (http://club.cdfreaks.com/f43/) and do a little research and find out who actually manufactures the “Plextor” labeled DVD Burner which will save you a considerable amount of money.

Regards,
bjkg

Hi,

I can recommend you to install PlexTools Professional LE, it’s a free download from www.plextools.com. It’s a full suite of tools and utilities for use with your Plextor drives and will allow you to perform CD/DVD diagnostics with your PX-755A. It requires some reading and familiarization, but is quite unique in its features. Note that it will start up together with Windows and sit in your system tray by default, but you can prevent this from happening under Options/Preferences.

Hi, Bob!

Yes, Bob i did :iagree:. It’s PlexTools Professional (Utility Software).

In fact, last week i bought also one Plextor Premium2. It cames with the same PlexTools Professional (Utility Software) version as 755A and a PlexTools Professional LE Trial Version (Utility Software).

i don’t know exactly the diferences yet :o, but i think for having all the features of PlexTools Professional LE i must pay some extra money.

Thank you, Bob, for your attention.

I have PlexTools Pro XL 3.13 but i don’t know if you can still buy it or not.

I think people like Pro LE 3.13. I think there is a v 3.14 LE out also.

Hi, Bob!

i’m sorry to answer so late to your question, but i’m having some problems with my PC. :a i hope to solve these problemes during next weekend

i’m in Portugal and here it’s impossible to get Plextors Premium 2 with a black bezel (only the beiges ones :frowning: ).

i’m so satisfeid with the Premium 2 that i’ll buy another one before they all gone… :iagree:

Best regards :flower:

When I can not get a black bezel, I simply remove it and spray paint it and put it back on. The bezel and face plate are removable.
