Did you defrag your hard disk and have you disabled any online virus scanner while burning ?
Yes, I defrag frequently and I disable the virus, firewall, etc. software.
One of the guys on the Emachines Upgraders site may have hit upon it - possibly my system just isn’t powerful enough?
I haven’t found a place in Win98 SE to show cpu and memory usage, but sitting at the desk top my system performance in settings shows at about 50% free and when I disable the virus scanner, firewal, digital camera software, etc. it moves up to 65%.
I’m just looking for an excuse to build a new machine anyway . . .
