Does this appear to be a good burn

This disc was burned at 6X on a BTC1008 and the first image shows a scan from the same drive. The second image is of the same disc but scanned in a BTC1016. The second scan is obviously better so should I be concerned about the first one? Is this just a case of the 1016 being a better scanner? The disc plays fine in both my standalone machines.

yes

also do a transfer rate test preferbly with a drive that can read to 16x.

I was under the assumption that the BTC DRW1016IM could read at 16X, but apparently it can’t, or at least I haven’t found out how to change it so it can. Below is the transfer rate test ran at 8X on the 1016IM.

All in all I guess this is a good burn. I was worried that I wasted $40 on these TY discs, but if I ignore the 1008 scan, then I’m actually getting slightly better results than I got with the TDK TTG01’s.

did you try to change the speed in File|Options\standard test menu?
