I don't plan on writing at faster than the advertised speed. I just a pack of 50 of these medias and I was wondering what's the write quality on it? Is it that good? Thanks.
I just got a 50pack of that 8x DVD+R FujiFilm "Made in Japan" onsale at Best Buy for $19.95 - its works great, one of the recommended ones for 16x operation. Though I prefer 12x for a little margin. Of course 8x burning is solid as well. Its a good bargain right now for quality DVD+R media.
YUDEN T02 @ PX 716A 1.04 burned @ 8x.
Great Burn !!
Please maximize the scala to 20 !
there have been a number of 8X burns on TY media posted in the "Quality Scans" thread and others as well. give a look-see there for the answer to your question.
Both TY T02 (+R 8x) and TYG02 (-R 8x) burns excellent with less than 20 PIE at 12x. 16x is very good (less than 100 PIEs). There's not much quality difference 8x vs 12x, I'd suggest burn at 12x.
I did a few test burns with TY T02 (DVD+R 8x) with a Plextor 716-A fw1.04 and at 8x speed I get PIE<9 and PIF<2 but at 12x I got PIE<200 and PIF<1 so 8x was a lot cleaner for me with a batch of Fuji from Best Buy. I wouldn't go 16x with that batch for the slight increase in speed. I think I will use 8x with it in the future since I value a much cleaner reliable quality burn than 1-2 minutes less write time. I like the under 10 PIE values at 8x!
These are the results (Sum8, Sum1, Beta/Jitter) of premium quality Taiyo Yuden +R 8x (T02 000) as sold by Plextor (see their Homepage) burned at 8x speed in my TLA #0202 with FW 1.04.
IMHO 8x burnig won't get much better than this.
Does the TY 8x Media burn well with Plextor 716-A at 8x?
Does the bear shit in the woods?=)
Not if he's on your back porch...
Yea, in your backyard .
