I'm looking to purchase the DVR-212D (Pioneer DVR-212D Black DVD-RW 18X6X18 DVD+RW 18X8X18 DL 10X SATA 2MB) from NCIX (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=23283&vpn=DVR-212DBK&manufacture=Pioneer) and was wondering if it has DRM. I really don't feel like spending money just to find out I can't backups my things. I ask because I was reading around and aparently some of the Lite-On burners have DRM.
Edit: And if anyone has better suggestions, I'd be glad to take them into consideration. I just want a DVD burner I can purchase from a Canadian store, with SATA.
I'm not aware of any drive having DRM integrated into it. Just the pressed media (DVD Videos, audio CD's) you buy... and that can be defeated with RiptIt4Me, AnyDVD, DVDFab... I think the Pioneer drive would be a good buy.
