Does SH-203D support Mount Rainier?

Well, my new SH-203D, bought yesterday, says it doesn’t while the Sh-203B review says it does. So the questions:
A) Is the SH-230D very different from the SH-230B?
B) Using different chipset?
C) A better or worse writer than SH-230B?

I save the Nero Infotool’s output and here’s the bit:

Did you read the review?
There are no “230B” nor “230D” drives.

B) Using different chipset?
Maybe a newer or cheaper revision of the same chipset.

C) A better or worse writer than SH-230B?
At the moment there are not many users that posted quality scans of their 203D burns. I personally don’t expect much difference, but I might be totally wrong.

Meant to say 203B & 203D. And yes, I read the review and bought the SH-203 drive. But mine turned out to be SH-203D. And 203D does not support Mount Rainier, while the 203B that was review does.

We won’t know until someone is willing to open their new SH-203D and compare the physical drive.

I made a burn using Nero CD speed, and I can try to post it here.

Nero Infotool reports that Mt. Rainier is supported, but that doesnt mean much, IMHO.
Were it tested in the review? I think not.

how is that scan related to the question about Mt. Rainier?? :confused:
