Does my Plextor PX-R412Ci overburn or not?

Hi,

Does my Plextor PX-R412Ci overburn or not???

Does anybody have any experience with this drive???

On the website of feurio it states this drive can overburn to 89:59 min,
on the nero website it states the drive does not overburn,
however in nero itself it says the drive supports overburning.....

I can burn at least 710mb (80:48min)on a 700mb Taiyo Yuden cdr,
however nero sees platinum 90min 800mb cdrs as 700mb cdrs
and thus nero does not start to burn the 775 mb file to the cdr...
does anybody have any suggestions how to solve this problem....

btw with cdrwin i get an error when trying to burn the 775mb file/bin during testing....

I guess, you 've done everything what lies in your power,
and the only way further to is, to try out,
and to report your findings back, to this group

I guess that’s not so bad, for one of the oldest
Models of Plextor

According to the tested information at Overburning Tests, that Plextor model failed all of the overburning tests.

It can’t overburn.

Get your hands on some 90 or 99 minute CD-R’s. Fire up Nero CD Speed and do an overburn test. Then you’ll know for sure.

Try with nreo cd-speed at 2x with Zeus CD media

Hi,

After upgrading nero and aspi, to the latest version, the drive
now totally refuses to overburn beyond 703mb on a cd…I
used to be able to burn at least 710mb on a Taiyo-Yuden cd…
strange…I now think it doens’t overburn anything anymore…
Can aspi limited the overburn capabilities of my scsi-drive???
…anyone any suggestions???……

Greetzzz
