hi guys,

I've been lurking around on CloneCD website to find out wether or not the LiteOn 32x speed CD-burner does correct EFM encoding as well as the 24x speed predecessor.

Can any1 tell me if the LiteOn 32x speed do this correctly and please post a link if possible.

TIA

The CloneCD site says clearly that the 24x Lite-On does correct EFM-encoding last time I checked…
There’s nothing about the 32x Lite-On but I have it and it’s yet to fail with any SD2-protected game!

Yes, both the 32X and 40X still support correct EFM encoding.

Just curios…what is P-Cav and Rnr burning good 4?

Failing with SD2 protection has nothing to do with any new firmwares for the LTR32123S. I have it with firmware Version XS0U and have no problems with even SD2.51.
I´m using CloneCD4 Beta 30 and a Pioneer DVD-ROM.

P-CAV is faster than Z-CLV (32123S, 40125S) cause it does not stop to switch speed. Mt Rainier is that you can use a CDRW much like a floppy (an extension of packet writing I think).
