Does exact model matter?

Thanks all you who’ve helped me thus far.

^^ In the recommended media for dvd+r there are certain models of them, and I searched around and found them difficult to find the exact model. Does it really matter? Or if it says Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD+R… can I just get those instead of looking for the exact model?

Thanks again

Order from reputable online stores like RIMA.COM & NEWEGG.COM. If they say TAIYO YUDEN 8x DVD+R they are ok to buy. Are you in the USA? If you are you can order from newegg.com or rima.com.

Take a look at www.videohelp.com site for media ID’s.

You can see what the actual media codes are. Some companies like FUJI have media codes of TAIYO YUDEN like some of their DVD-R discs. You can use DVDINFO PRO or DVD IDENTIFIER to find out the exact media codes after you purchase dvd media.
