I have asked this question in an earlier thread. Their interface only has "burn-proof" which prevents buffer underruns but what if I am using lower grade media? Like Nero, does it know how to "step" down the speed to accomodate the max writable speed of the cdr?
If the program do not have an option to switch smartburn off it will always be on.
Therefore smartburn will be on.
Thanks… I wonder if there’s a program to certify the true write speed of cdr media.
Besides Nero, which automatically does the job of lowering the write speed before a burn is started. The rest, like DJ does not seem to have this feature. As I burned a DC game on a no name, el cheapo media at 40x, it didn’t work.
Tried 12x (though the actual rated speed might be higher) on another piece of the same media, works flawlessly this time. Or does Zone CLV suck?
I’m using a liteon 40x, BTW.
