[qanda]This question is published in the hardware section for the Philips DVD8601 / PBDV1601. Click here to view full specs.[/qanda]Does anyone have a driver for Philips DVD8601. My PC is a Dell Demension 8400, I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I downloaded some software on my computer that has ruined a few things - disk drives not being recognised is just one of the problems. I have very basic computer skills (as you can probably tell by the questions I ask) so a basic step by step guide to get me back working again would be great. Also, on one of the forums I have seen people talking about upgrading/converting the Philips DVD8601 to BENQ DW1600. What are the benefits and how do you do that.
Hello anotherdebbie, welcome to CDF
Do you get an error message in Device Manager, perhaps an error code number?
If you do, can you let us know what that error code is please…thanks
You don’t really need drivers for CD/DVD Roms. You might try System Restore to get your computer back to working condtition again and then watch out what software you install from now on.
