Erik Deppe, the author of Nero CD-DVD Speed said that he can easily add support for Plextor drives. In fact he mentioned in another thread (here, here, and here) that he has developed the version that supports Plextors. However since Plextor didn't consent him, he cannot release the version.
What's the "benefit"?
1. Plextor users will be able to do quality scans in one pass, showing PIE/PIF/Jitter etc simultaneously.
2. Save time, since it will show all quality parameters simultaneously.
3. I believe Plextor will benefit from this and boost their sales. No study yet but look how happy BenQ, NEC, etc users with the this fine software.
4. Nero CD-DVD Speed is free.
Let see if Plextor headquarters see this thread and hopefully they will re-consider their decisions.
So, do you want Nero CD-DVD Speed supports our plextor drives?
Another alternative is to ask Plextor to develop one pass quality scans with Plextools Pro (and XL), but I will not put that in the pool because of #4 and I cannot change the pool anymore.
