None of these links work for me. I think the forum has shortened the links with an ellipsis ("…") as well as the names between the tags.
Bug ?

@mike111

For your first ever post on the CDFreaks site and it’s political. Hmmm, there are so many other sites for this kind of post as main purpose.
I hope in the future to see you participating and contributing in the main vain of this site too.

Anyways, the war on Iraq had to be done. It is not always easy to have clean exit strategy, especially when you talk about people that cling to 1000 years old culture and are religious fanatics. You just do not change the this kind of behaviour in few years, It might take couple generations.

I think your whole post is a matter of option and I will leave it at that.
Also I think if the mods had a problem with this it would have been locked already.

Yes but this has nothing to do with Burning. That’s where CDFreaks.com is for…
But it doesn’t bother me…

hello everyone
my name is gil, i live in israel
i wanted to open discussion on why israel image in the world is so negative
there are many greyt things about israel (for example moran atias…)
please answer to me if u are interested
thanks

I don’t want this reply to be taken as being negative to israel, but the negativity about your country has to do with your parliament going into palestine and displacing
the people who once occupied that land.I have one question to ask you gildushin…
Would you like an American/Britain/Australian etc.etc to go into Israel and tell all the Israelis to move out of their homes because we think that piece of land you’ve built your home on is no longer yours?

Ummm…I’m not going to comment about what lead to it, what transpired during, or the rights or wrongs of the outcome…but I am pretty sure that there was a fairly large scale armed conflict in which both “sides” “freely” (trying to indicate that I don’t know what “sides” or “freely” means) participated in and ended with the occupation of the Gaza Strip, Golan Heights and West Bank. Usually called war, but whatever.

Once again - people get mad, try solve things with high velocity projectiles and the like, bad things happen, blood lust ensues and eventually all some people know is hate & revenge - and from there it just goes on and on and on, so forth and so on, at nausium (sp - sorry) and here we are today.

Do people hate Israel…I don’t see how that is possible…I don’t know anything about it…so I’m not sure how that might happen. I do believe that the world is tired of the endless cycle of violence coming from the Middle East which typically always seems to be aimed a the most innocent and helpless simply to shock and awe us into some sort of reaction…

All I know for sure is that I don’t know anything for sure. With the media pumping whatever propaganda that they believe will result in the greatest viewership or marketshare or dollars, I’m not sure who to believe.

I’ve never been to Israel but from what I know I say yes to you. Their’s good and bad in any race/creed/color etc.

Well about Iraq, I think it’s time to get out of there before more American soldiers get killed by suicide bombers and so on. It needed to be done and the US did a great job, but why leave your Military there for targets. Don’t get me wrong I spent my 20 years in the Canadian Air Force, just think the job is done and it’s up to the Iraq to resolve how they want to run their country now that it is is free of Sadam. This is just my opinion and no racial insults were intended.

I suggest you reading a bit more about modern history of the Middle East. For an easy reading you may start with Herman Wouk’s “The Hope”.
It will give you a plastic answer to the origin of the conflict in the XX. century in the region.

So we can get on to the next country that has oil or something else we want.

You see Alex that’s the problem with people like you…obviously you’re not well read because you’re telling me to read about modern HISTORY.I’m not dealing with Modern HISTORY i’m dealing with HISTORY.
As for Herman Wouk’s listen that’s HIS STORY.

It is a point of view and as an opinion has to be respected, like facts on which history is based.
What concerns your comment (bold letters in the quotation): reading is a must to understand processess in history. I might have done it in a wrong way, if this is your impression of a person having a PhD in History and International Relations.
I will try to improve my knowledge.

Listen don’t you try to patronize me,you indicated in an earlier statement that i should be reading Modern HISTORY to find out the origin of the conflict. A man with your intelligence should go back further into HISTORY (not modern day as you stated) then maybe you’ll find out the why there’s
conflict in the region.

History can you really find an unbiased account of history?..its based on those people who left information about certain events how it pertained to them so there fore…its always one sided…

As for the war in Iraq…doesn’t matter the why’s of war…it just matters that the troops were called up and are doing their job. period.
