Do you realize how hard it is to use this forum? I'm not exactly a newbie, but I have just spent over 45 minutes just trying to find a simple recommendation for blank CD brands, and most people would just give up by now.
I have found (in the past) the best recommended blank DVD media, and I have faithfully used that information. I didn't try to find blank CD media at the time because I already had about 200 blank CDs to use up first. Well, they're used now, and I need to buy some more, and of course, I thought of coming here for tips on brands to buy.
You would think that "best blank CD media" would get some kind of pointer. But, no, that is too simple. The words are too short, the description isn't enough, (what the heck else can you ask???) and I am shuttled off to all kinds of non-relevant threads, DVD properties, burner info, bench testing results that you would have to be a rocket scientist to decipher, and STILL no solid answers!
Why can't there be a simple pointer to some good reliable brands without having to spend this kind of time (most people won't). This is supposed to be a forum to help people (yes, even unwashed newbies), and it seems there is a sophmorish attitude that you have to "pay your dues" by reading and deciphering hundreds of vague posts and STILL not have a clue.
Why does it have to be this hard?? I just want to buy some good reliable brand of blank CDs for music and data. I have standard CD-RWs in my computers, nothing exotic. Will anyone be kind enough to give me a usable answer?
