Do drives report C2 or CU?

When a drive reports a read error in audio mode, according to EAC, it is an uncorrectable C2 error, that is a CU error. According to Feurio, it is just a C2 error, corrected or not.

Which one is right ?
Do Plextools Pro or K-Probe (I can’t use any of them because I don’t have the suited drives) distinguish between C2 and CU ?

Here’s the discussion that lead to this question : http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?showtopic=14489&st=0&#entry146959

The sad thing is that the MMC standard is not very clear about
that feature so that you can find drives that report C2 (in various
ways also) and some that report CU. In a perfect world all drives
would report CU to enable accurate software post-processing.

Plextools does make the difference if you have the good drive for
it (eg Premium). As for K-Probe, the author always denied to explain
what was measured.

Thank you for the answer
