DMA or PIO when flashing

i ask this as i always disabled DMA when i updated firmware for my old TDK burner. i wasn’t sure if this was still the case with the BenQ and newer writers.

It’s safe to say you can flash “in DMA”… :wink:

There have been some posts from people recommending flashing in “safe-mode”.
My drive is flashed one hundred plus times in pure windoze and still burns like a champ.

But YMMV :slight_smile:

I never disable DMA either…

Now what have we here O.o? Flashing in pio mode ? Never heard of it or is that meant as “flashing in dos” ?
