How to solve DMA Driver error and CRC error associated with my DVD Writer ?
Hi and welcome to the forum
Among the possible causes of these errors there are a poor quality disc (writing/verify errors are pretty frequent with low quality media), a damaged cable, a damaged HDD, a faulty driver and a damaged RAM stick.
I suggest to run a memtest to exclude RAM as cause of this problem. Then, you can try to install again IDE drivers. Try to use a new IDE cable: if it solve, then the culprit was the cable
Can you provide more details? What software are you using? What discs? Is it a self-build computer? What operative system are you using?
Maybe he has it set to PIO instead of DMA?

^ I was just coming in here to suggest that very thing, assuming the drive is of course IDE. Seen a few instances where a fresh cable sorted that particular error out.
