Hi,
I live in Australia (sydney) and i wish to know more about installing a satellite dish. Is there anyone from OZ (should i limit myself to the southern hemisphere?) that has done their own installation. COuld someone please guide me?

I am mainly looking at receiving free to air from Italy, England and the US.

cheers

I doubt you’ll be able to receive such channels from especially england.

But have a look here: http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/Pacific.html

The broadcast footprint of the Astra Satellites at 28.2 Deg East does not extened to the southern hemisphere (I think North Africa can get it with a larger dish). This satellite carries Sky as well as the normall terrestrial channels - although you need a Sky subscription to get anything other than BBC channels. (i.e. ITV CH4 & CH5 are not available to people outside UK - Including Ireland)
