No mention of XviD. However they do say ALL versions of DiVX. Whether that encompasses DiVX3.11a or not is yet to be seen. More details are needed on just what exact codecs and combinations of will be supported. Then we will have to wait and see which hardware will use the chipset.

About time something like this happened. Just imagine downloading video clips off the net, burn it to a disc without having the encode it into MPEG1/2, then just whacking the cd into your DVD player. As well as cramming more video into one CD/DVD disc. Yes, I can just see those porno fans celebrating such a break in technology…
