Divx encoded, no voice track

I think I have narrowed down the no voice track to needing an updated AC3 filter. BUt my question is… is there anyway to remux the audio tracks or will I need to re-encode the entire movie again?

Also, is the free software from Divx the best to use for encoding or are there any other suggestions? What I’m trying to do is reduce sizes of the VOB folders by creating the divx and deleting the vob files. I have the physical disc of all movies I’m doing, so I can re-use DVDFab to pull the files off again if needed.

Thanks for any suggestions or help.

  1. Try Windows Media Player, if you are using WMP, use something else.
  2. Have you tried the file on a different computer.
  3. Do you have any decent AC3 filters installed?
  4. What’s your windows speaker configuration?
  5. What’s your program speaker configuration?

If you peruse these forums you’ll find that most stick with Xvid over Divx. There are many good, free apps that will do what you ask.

You think? Get MediaInfo and it will tell you exactly what the audio streams are.

Have you installed AC3 filter? It’s something you need anyway. Do your files now play? If so you are good to go.

Not sure why i’m not getting the voice track, but am gettting the music. I’ll just have to re-do it and see what happens.

The AC3 filter I already had installed was version 1.11, so I’ve downloaded the newer one (1.61).

Well that’s mp3 2 channel audio. Why you have no ‘voice’ may be due to the encoding.

Her’s 2 free apps you can try.
