Min Average box was Un-ticked, So I dont know what went wrong with that movie!
New Project~simular issue!
Installed latest DVD2svcd look's great!
I have noticed in bitrate tab that you can now select various Cd sizes for + & - writers!
As I have a pioneer -105 , I re-set the CD size to 4480 for a DVD to SVCD conversion,
for my new project using -R discs
I selected 6ch AC3 to be produced only!
I ended up with a 4.314.860 CCE_PAL video file
387.284 kb 6CH AC3 file
which when merged together was again over the max size for a DVD-R disc!
Usually I just reduce the AC3 bitrate for it to fit on disk "works every time!,
But this time I wanted to slightly reduce the image quality & keep 6CH Audio high quality instead,
so I reset the cd size to 4100 instead of your recommended cd size of 4400 which again was slightly over on the second attemp!!
It did work fine for Sterio, but not for 6CH AC3 so it seems.
I have found that 6CH transcoding audio creates a larger file size in gerneral than the 2 CH sterio transcoding (makes sense)
Throughout my trials I have always kept Max average bitrate set to 6000 and MAX bitrate to 9000 as recommended in the tutorials section.
Can these adjustments be slightly altered instead of changeing the CD sizes?
As I think it may result to the same issue in terms of overall file size, as The purpose of bitrate setting is to give CCE an idea of what file size to make!
quote me if I'm wrong,
All the best,
