Disk Quality Test-DW1620-good?

I have yet to figure out what a good burn looks like. Can anyone comment if the burn here is good? What do I look for in a bad test?

This is a very good quality burn. What is important is low values in PI Failures, single high spikes aren’t bad, but a lot PI Failures or very high spikes or clustered failures are bad for quality. But a total of only 191 PIF is very good. Also very low jitter value which should mean good sound quality.

PI Errors should stay below 280 max and PI Failures should stay below 16, but less/lower is always better.
The quality score of 97% is only a guideline, don’t see it as the “holy truth”.
f you would have only one spike in the value of 8 in PIF your quality score would have been 95%. Just one PI Failure doesn’t tell you the quality burn, just see it as a guideline.

These questions have been asked many times before, please use the search to find the answers about quality scans, PIE and PIF. Happy burning.

Thanks for the reply. Very much appreciate the analysis. I would have searched harder for answers but I’ve been on this forum for almost four days now trying to get this 8631 working right. So I’m pooped, my wife is annoyed, and its my daughter’s b-day…

Your wife is right, your daughters birthday is more important. congratulations with your daughters birthdat and happy burning 2 you.
