Disk copy

This isn’t a CD-copying question, it’s a floppy-copying question, but I’m really hoping someone can help me out.

I have a floppy disk that I’ve tried copying with several programs (e.g., WinImage). Nothing works. The error message I get is “Address marker not found”, which occurs on all tracks. In Windows explorer, I can read the disk’s contents, but I can’t even click on an individual file to copy it - it causes the floppy drive to run forever.

The disk is a key diskette, used to install a program on CD.

I know the disk is “good” - it is just heavily protected. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can copy it? Are there any programs that can copy a floppy disk with advanced security features?

There’s an old program called anadisk which handles protection quite well. I’m sure you’d find it with a google search.

Good luck

Don’t bother.
You could spend a hundred years searching and trying - you won’t copy it.

Bilto - Anadisk worked like a charm - THANK YOU.

You’re welcome rjm1

Sometimes these old programs can surprise us all!
