hi,

i need to remove the cd-burn xp prompts which keep appearing everytime i start up.

to begin doing this, the cd-freaks entry in the questions section [faq] asks to type into the Run box,

%SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc/s

but my xp cannot find this designation

help please -

i have set to ‘disabled’ as per instructions - restarted - and … the “Found New Hardware” bubble(s) still appears + wizard box for Sony DW-U18A: i thought that by disabling the Windows Burner, it would dispense with these Windows bubbles which keep popping up, whenever i boot up. But no - how do i get rid of these pop-ups, please - i’ve got a feeling they are going to screw up anything i subsequently try and install?

thanks acko,
