Direct cd safe for back ups?

is adaptec direct cd safe for backing up date. i ask as i used CEQuadrant equivalent proggy and lost a lot of stuff.

can anyone recommend it?

daisy, I have used DirectCD for years to b/u my HD, and it never failed me. My work, a large hospital, uses it also. The program is stable and works well. One important factor is the cd-rw you choose. Check around for good quality ones, they make the difference. (I don’t offhand know the best, but I use Imation and Verbatim)

i would use a program like nero for doing a safe HD backup. because when using directcd there is the possibility for errors, and nero is very solid and safe when burning. use nero if you need to backup serious information.
