Can anybody tell if there's an easy way to learn if your cdrom player supports Digital Audio extraction? I understand it's the most reliable way to create MP3's on such a cdrom. Analog players could cause noise when creating MP3's.
Sure there is. Just install a audio ripper
and see if your burner is supported. If so just rip a track to see how fast you can go.
Use AudioCatalyst for instance.
U can also use CD Spin Doctor. Insert an audiocd in your CD-ROM and click the “test” button. After the test is finished, U can see what your max. ripping speed is. If U have a SCSI burner, try using that drive for audioripping.

Read the spec. sheet that came with your cd-r or cd-rom. That’s the quickest way I know of.
