Diference quality

i have the new version and want to know what the difference between DVD9 and DVD5?
Please advise

DVD9 is the setting for DualLayer disc media, and DVD5 is for single layer media.

The DVD9 setting also allows you to rip to a hard disc folder without the software compressing the video. Higher Quality numbers are better and mean that less compression has been applied, but Fab compresses pretty well and a 10% difference in the “Quality” number does not mean the lower number will look 10% worse. I hope I have not misunderstood your question.

From my DVD Shrink experiences, if you can keep the compression above about 70% for single burns there are no problems. Below 70% and it’s trial and error.
