eBay is an open market where you have no idea what the source of something is unless you're buying from a reliable and trustworthy seller.
You think the media was sealed, but then you don't really know if it had been opened and re-sealed. Unless you buy from a reliable seller, you don't know for sure. TY is some of the most counterfeited and gray-marketed media on the planet, and if you're not careful, people will sell you junk.
You think the media was premium, but then you don't really know unless it came in a cakebox from a reliable seller. Tapewrapped media is not premium. A reliable seller would be a place like Rima.com. A random seller on eBay whose store address you can't even locate or remember does not fall into the reliable category.
So, just chalk this up as a lesson.
