Device Buffer on NEC-3520A

I just got a new NEC-3520A burner, using the NEC 3.04 Firmware.

I was burning a movie using DVD Decrypter, and I noticed the Device Buffer was sitting at 96% the whole time, and the write speed I chose was 4x, but it showed Write Speed as 4.1x

I know about the buffer thing jumping, and is normal for the NEC’s.

Oh, and also it is on the secondary IDE channel, as slave.

But in my situation is ths normal?

I don’t see where anything is abnormal at all here. 4.1x is common when burning 4x. Nothing is dead on. as for the buffer setting right at 96 thats fine. You are burning slow so it won’t jump around trying to adjust speed like it does with faster burns.
