I have a Compaq desktop running Vista. I have a 2nd desktop using wired router to connect to internet via Verizon. My laptop is connected to internet wireless. My question is there an easy way to be able to connect the Compaq to the internet wireless - without opening the commputer? I am not a computer expert and can really use some help. Thanks.
What you need is called a usb wireless adapter. They are quite common these days and can frequently be bought for less than $20, depending on their capabilities.
You plug them into a usb port on the computer. Setting up the connection to the router will be the same process used for your laptop.
For $11.09 you can. No more than 15 meters distance though.
