my gf has a Dell Inspiron 6000. The DVDrom on it just quit playing dvds. it will still read data and music cd but NOTHING in dvd format… the drive dosent even detect that the disk is there… ive already updated the firmware and uninstalled and reinstalled the drive in safe mode… ne other ideas? the drive is a sony DVD±RW DW-D56A
That’s no DVD-ROM but a burner, LiteOn OEM.
Follow the HOW TO link in my sig, maybe it helps.
