Dell 9300 dvd problem

The BEST what you could do FIRST is to check the cable/connection and jumpering of the drive.

Then, its best to test the drive in another computer.

Don’t even try to flash it, first test the drive.

Found your lost post that was supposed to be here or there??

An admin or mod has forgot my answer post to merge within all three (crossposts) from the OP…

Dear friends,

Uninstalling and rebooting the laptop didn’t solve the problem. It still persists.

I never removed any hardware component from the laptop before and since it had no issues earlier, I am hesitant to touch the jumpers and the cables etc.

Has anybody seen this problem or can troubleshoot what might be wrong?

I really appreciate your responses.

Thanks…
Rama
