Help!!!

Sorry, but no I have no idea what your error message could mean. Maybe some other software interferes? Try running the program in Windows Safe mode.

Hi Liggy ran the software in safe mode with same result ie Nec converter has found a problem etc. If I run it and and change my 3100AD to 3500 then run it again the converter program tells me I have a 3500 drive but everything else on my 9 months old Dell 4700 tells me it is a 3100. Is there any other way I can make these changes (short of buying a new 3500/3540!!)

Thanks for your help it is much appreciated,

Best Regards,

Bryce

The drive converter only changes an internal ID of the drive that is usually not visible. If you want to use your drive as a 3500 drive, you still need to flash a real 3500 firmware.

I slightly updated the corresponding NEC Drive Converter page.

Hi Liggy sorry I did not appreciate that, will have a go and see how it goes from there. (You must get sick of us stupid newbies)

Thanks again for your help,

Bryce

No comment :stuck_out_tongue:

Point taken and all seems to working now,
